The Salt-Mine Studio, organized in 1998 by Coley McLean and Simone DeSousa, is a multidisciplinary studio located in Detroit, housing sculpture, painting, design, as well as fabrication and foundry facilities.

The studio’s goal is to bring together different references and types of knowledge to create a vibrant environment where theory and practice fuse to foment creative exploration.
